Benefits of Becoming a Member
WISEdash Local is designed to take school district data from locations already in use, store it in our secure data warehouse located at Wisconsin’s Department of Enterprise Technology, and display stored data on easy- to-use dashboards that districts control access to.
WISEdash Local creates a place for local assessments and next-day data showcased on dashboards; a daily comparison versus the annual snapshot data districts send DPI now. It is a separate database from the state WISEdash for Districts. DPI will not have access to the data in WISEdash Local.
Schools currently using Infinite Campus, Skyward, or PowerSchool can be connected to WISEdash Local. Other prominent software systems can be as well, e.g., special education systems, finance, HR, educator effectiveness, assessment, etc.., as determined by the WISEdash Local Governing Board. You can request this data be added by completing this form, or emailing Heather List here.
Costs for participating districts for the 2017-18 school year will be determined by the WISEdash Local Governing Board based on the number of member districts, staffing needs, and other project costs. The goal is to keep costs as low as possible for member and future member districts. With several districts participating in the consortium, the long-term goal is that the cost be about $1 per student.
Acquiring a similar system alone can
cost $250,000 or more for any size district.
